Belize Carnival
Carnival
Festival in BelizeTour to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.
The
carnival celebrations in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye are the most famous ones
in Belize. Every year San Pedro's Carnival takes place for 5 days during the
week before the Lenten Season begins on Ash Wednesday. The festivities allow
all participants to enjoy one last
time what they relinquish during lent: meats, liquor, and partying. The Carnival festival will offer you
live entertainment, diverse cuisines, as well as the chance to get to know authentic traditions and to dive into
a cultural experience of its own kind.
Due to
San Pedros location, you can also enjoy sun, white sandy beaches, and swim in
clear water of the ocean. Colorfully painted houses stand next to palm trees
and the surrounding area allows excellent diving and snorkeling. You can contact Mayan Gateway for a personalized tour to Belize to experience this festival.
